The Dowd Insurance Agencies announced the appointment of Wayne M. Kapinos as an account executive at The Dowd Insurance Agencies. Kapinos will be based in the Holyoke office.
“With almost a decade of experience as a licensed insurance broker, Wayne brings expertise to a number of our market segments, including the construction industry, franchise businesses and workers’ compensation,” said John E. Dowd, Jr. president and CEO of The Dowd Insurance Agencies. “We are thrilled to have Wayne as a part of our team and look forward to increasing our market penetration with construction and franchise businesses.”
Kapinos is a resident of Wilbraham and maintains active memberships in both the Massachusetts and Connecticut chapters of Young Insurance Professionals. He is currently working on the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification and the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) designation. Additionally, he is well established in the local business market and regularly attends networking functions through the Young Professional Society of Springfield. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he received his bachelor of science degree and Holyoke Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree. Kapinos is also a veteran of the United States Army.

Prior to joining The Dowd Insurance Agencies, Kapinos was employed by Amtrust North America Insurance Center of New England as a regional sales representative.
