Starting Sunday, Feb. 23, the new hands-free driving law prohibits drivers from using any electronic device, including cell phones, unless the device is used in hands-free mode. While the newest vehicle technology has helped alleviate the number of car accidents occurring on the road, the technology in drivers’ hands and sightline has contributed to more severe accidents due to distracted driving.
